Hello guys!

No matter your budget we all have pieces that are from a high-street or fast-fashion store. These terms refers to clothing bought in a major clothing chain such as Zara, Forever 21, Bershka, Topshop, Mango and others. They tend to replicate designs from the most notable designers and sell it for an affordable price. Since they have extremely low prices sometimes the quality might not be the best. Below I leave you a few tips to take advantage of your next shopping trip:

• The first thing I do when I spot something I like, even before looking for the price is reviewing the fabric. Touch it, feel it. Look for fabrics that feel natural and soft. Try to avoid thin and synthetic fabrics. Even though it has an amazing price you don’t want to look cheap when you go out.

• In order to not hurt your pocket, look for timeless pieces. Yes you are dying for that designer piece you just saw on the runway and the store have a similar one for a low price but as all flashy trendy pieces they will have an expiration date.

• Think twice. A very low price point can get us excited about a piece. I always like to walk around the store, think it over and try it on before buying it. Since they usually have more than 5 or 10 of the same piece what I’ve been doing is that if I don’t need it I will leave it there. If the piece stays in my mind for the next couple of days I will go back and get it.

• Know when the store will have their next sale. The piece you want will probably be one of the ones with a lower price.

Well those are my tips! Easy, right? High street fashion is about looking good for a low price. It’s all about spotting pieces that will make you look great and will last a good couple of years!

No importa cual sea tu presupuesto, todos tenemos piezas de una tienda que vende “high-street fashion” o “fast fashion”. Estos términos se refieren a la ropa de tiendas como Zara, Forever 21, Bershka, Topshop, Mango y otros. Estas replican diseños de los diseñadores mas famosos y las venden por precios bajos. Debido a su bajo precio algunas veces la calidad puede que no sea la mejor. Abajo les dejo unos cuantos consejos para que le saquen provecho a estas tiendas la próxima vez que vayan de compras y no lastimen sus bolsillos:

• Lo primero que hago cuando veo algo que me gusta, inclusive antes de ver el precio es revisar la tela. Tocarla, sentirla. Busquen telas que se sientan naturales y suaves y dejen a un lado las delgadas y sintéticas. Aunque tenga un buen precio no querrán que se note lo barato.

• Para no lastimar su bolsillo escojan piezas durables y atemporales. Sé que pueden estar obsesionados con esa pieza que vieron en el fashion week que acaba de pasar y el almacén tiene uno por un increíble precio pero como todas las piezas súper trendy estas pueden tener una fecha de expiración.

• Piénsalo dos veces. Nos podemos emocionar por el precio y querer comprarlo de una vez. Lo que trato de hacer es caminar por el almacén, ver que mas hay, probármelo antes de comprarlo. Como por lo general tienen mas de 5 o 10 del mismo diseño lo que he estado haciendo últimamente es que si no lo necesito lo dejo. Si después de una semana sigo pensando en esa pieza regreso y la busco.

• Pregunten cuando será el próximo sale. Esa pieza que quieres puede ser una de las que le bajen el precio.

Esos son mis tip! Fácil, verdad? El High-street fashion se trata de verte bien por un bajo precio y saber identificar que piezas harán que te veas bien y te duraran varios años.
