Hello guys! This is the last post of the mix and match series. I have already given you all my rules for patterns mix and matching. Today I’ll be making a summary of the most important guidelines to follow when doing so. Here they are:
When wearing a bold print, choose a second “low key” print.
For example, wear a floral top with a neutral color stripe pants. This will balance out the look.
Make sure one of the prints is minimalistic.
On this post, the top has a very subtle polka dot print. Your eyes are drawn to the bottom instead of the top. Despite both of them having the same neutral tones, one item stands out more than the other.
The easiest way to mix prints and colors is:
Mixing prints and patterns is extremely easy when you combine pieces with the same prints in different colors and when you combine different prints the same color scheme as I did here and here.
If scared, go for black and white:
When trying something new such as mixing prints, go for prints in black and white. There is almost no chance you will go wrong with it.

Esta es la última publicación de la serie “mix and match”. Ya les he dado todas mis reglas para la combinación de estampados. Hoy voy a hacer un resumen de mis reglas más importantes para hacerlo. Aquí están:
Cuando uses un estampado dramático, deja que el segundo sea minimalista.
Por ejemplo, en este post use un top floral con un pantalón de rayas de color neutro. Esto equilibró el look.
Asegúrate de que uno de los estampados sea minimalista.
En el post de hoy, la parte superior tiene un estampado de lunares muy sutil. Tus ojos se ven atraídos por el pantalón en lugar del top. A pesar de que ambos tienen los mismos tonos neutros, un elemento destaca más que el otro.
La forma más fácil de mezclar estampados y colores es:
Mezclar estampados es extremadamente fácil cuando combinas piezas con el mismo estampado en diferentes colores y cuando combina diferentes estampados con los mismos tonos como hice hoy y en este post.
Si tienes miedo, ve por blanco y negro:
Cuando intentas algo nuevo, como mezclar estampados, lo seguro será ir por el blanco y negro. Casi no hay posibilidad de que te equivoques con eso.
