Hello guys! This month I will be giving several tips so you can survive the holidays. As I mentioned in this post, there are several parties and events going on in December. One of the first things we think about is that we NEED to buy new pieces in order to look on point. I’m here to tell you that there are pieces in your closet that can work for the holidays. My top 5 are:
Little Black Dress
This is a must-have for every woman. A black dress is like an empty canvas; you can play with your accessories and make it party appropriate.
Statement Earrings
It is very likely that you have at least one pair of earrings that are dramatic, to say the least. They will help you dress up every outfit. You can put on a simple top or dress and with a nice piece of earrings it will look party appropriate.
Blazer
I used to think this was a piece that should be limited to the office but that train of thought changed this year. Blazers can be worn in so many scenarios! You can use it to give it a twist to your jeans and t-shirt look or wear it by itself as I did here. With a nice lace bra, it becomes the perfect item for a night out!
Silky top
This is an item a lot of us have in our closets and usually wear for work. Now that a lot of office holiday parties are going on, a top like this can save you time. Pair it with statement earrings and you will have a perfect party look.
Heels
A lot of people believe that shoes can make or break an outfit. The same way statement earrings can make your outfit look party appropriate; a good pair of heels can do the same. For example, you can wear a casual outfit with heels. They will make you look casual but still chic.

¡Hola chicos! Este mes les estaré dando varios consejos para que puedan sobrevivir las fiestas. Como mencioné en este post, hay varias fiestas y eventos en diciembre. Una de las primeras cosas en la que pensamos es que NECESITAMOS comprar nuevas piezas para vernos bien. Estoy aquí para decirles que hay piezas en sus armario que pueden ser usadas para las fiestas. Mis 5 principales son:
Vestido negro
Este es un must-have por lo que comienzo la lista con él. Un vestido negro es como un lienzo limpio; puedes jugar con tus accesorios y hacer que sea apropiado para cualquier evento.
Aretes Llamativos
Es muy probable que tengas al menos un par de aretes que sean dramáticos. Estos te ayudarán a hacer resaltar todos tus outfits. Puedes ponerte un top o un vestido simple y con unos aretes llamativos te verás excelente para tu evento.
Blazers
Solía pensar que esta era una pieza que debería limitarse a la oficina, pero ese pensamiento cambió este año. Los blazers se pueden usar en tantos escenarios! Puedes usarlo para darle un toque diferente a tu look de jeans y camiseta o para usarlo solo como lo hice aquí. ¡Con un bonito sostén de encaje, se convierte en el artículo perfecto para una fiesta!
Top sedoso
Este es un artículo que muchos de nosotros tenemos en nuestros armarios y usualmente usamos para trabajar. Ahora que se están celebrando muchas fiestas navideñas denuestros trabajos, este tipo de top puede ahorrarte tiempo. Combínalo con unos aretes llamativos y listo.
Tacones
Mucha gente cree que los zapatos pueden hacer o deshacer un atuendo. De la misma manera que los aretes llamativos pueden hacer que tu atuendo se vea bien, un buen par de tacones puede hacer lo mismo. Por ejemplo, puedes usar un atuendo casual con tacones. Te harán lucir casual pero a la vez chic.
